He's Aboriginal, so his eyebrow game is strong.

It's nice and cheery and doesn't sound too generic.

Speaking of generic, I really feel nothing about our entry. It's so forgettable and boring.

So far my favourites are Cyprus, Austria and Hungary.

Cyprus' guy is Armenian Cypriot, which is cool. Really ties into the "Celebrate Diversity" doesn't it :P

I actually like our entry a bit and think it could fare well enough. Much better than some other crap we've been getting the past few years.

I should go listen to Cyprus soon.

I mean Utopian Land was worse but at least there was something vaguely interesting about it

This one is just forgetable.

Eh idk, I don't think either is forgettable.

That "This is love, rain falls from above" part is catchy.

Yay for diversity, Australia.

I don't like Italy's entry.

Has Eurovision changed over the years for you guys?

I'm sure like a lot of things Eurovision has changed a lot and times go by.

Some Europeans I've talked to irl used to be into Eurovision, but not anymore.

It's interesting how the flame seems to grow strong for some.

Also, did Sweden not qualify for the finals or something because I saw some things on Tumblr about that.

Come to think of it, all of Australia's entries have been of non British (or Irish) descent. Guy Sebastian is Malaysian, Dami Im is Korean and Isaiah is Aboriginal.

I don't like it either. If it didn't qualify automatically I could totally see it struggling in the semis.

Idk. I could say there's not as many "weird" entries but I can actually think of plenty from the last few years.
There seems to be an increase in ballads? But tbh i only remember the good songs from older years, so there must have been a lot of those before too (Monaco and Andorra always seemed to send those).

In Greece the interest is certainly diminished now that we don't do as well.

Sweden qualifies automatically as the previous winner. So do the Big Five as you probably know.

I didn't know the previous winner qualifies.

I don't really like ballads, most just sound like the same repetitive thing.

Our song is kinda like that too but at least it has a catchy part.

The Russian cultural imperative with respect to disabled people is to pretend that they don't exist. There isn't a single city that would provide any sort of infrastructure for disabled people. And nobody gives a fuck.
And yet, here these corrupt fucking cunts are, parading as if they care, because look, they even sent a woman in a wheelchair to the Eurovision
Fucking paragons of empowerment

I have a final on the Monday after that. I'm gonna be rushing with studying and cleaning that day.

Now, I feel concerned because I don't know the US broadcast situation of Eurovision this year.

Thankfully it's a bit too early for it to conflict with my finals :)

I'm not a fan of the lyrics change in Greece's song. That "rain falls from above" part was my favourite. Still like the song, though, I have a feeling it can do well enough, past the semi-final (unlike the shit we got last year). [s]Also I didn't like the dancers as much as I'd expect ;)[/s]

Also finally listened to Cyprus' song, that took me longer than usual. Wow, just realised that their singer Hovig is a guy I knew from the old Greek X-Factor. Song's kinda meh though yet their dance is interesting.

I might miss some of Eurovision on Saturday because my mom wants me to go with her somewhere as I'm the only one in the household who apparently knows how to use a GPS and knows street directions.

Either that or I just have a better understanding of GPS directions as long as it's not Apple's Maps app.
