I mean 8 points on Maria are too many if you're not doing the block points, but still.

Re: Eurovision 2015 Thread
I think that given the political situation and the awful quality of many songs (Greece and Cyprus included) this is somewhat okay. This contest really deconstructed lots of stuff, which may be a good thing. After all, we are doing better than last year's 21st place, at 19th.
SO, let's at least enjoy Sweden's last song and call it a night!

Re: Eurovision 2015 Thread
This time, they might show Stockholm some love and host it there, since last time Sweden won, they hosted it on Malmo (I know this is not the right o). Although it was done because it was right next to Copenhagen who was the previous host.
Anyways, goodnight and see you in a week!

Sweden deserved winner, Albania was horrible but still got points because Albanians have spread all over Europe
Italy's song was very good too, really enjoyed that
Now imma go see if Belgium's song is on Spotify

I expect to hear from Loïc Nottet in the future
He wrote the lyrics, music, choreography all by himself
He's a huge perfectionist, which is often not a bad characteristic for a music artist

Re: Eurovision 2015 Thread
I was rooting for Belgium, but Sweden deserved it through and through.
Italy broke the Cyprus/Greece voting on both sides, which was weird.
And yeah, I didn't like Albania's either XD
Or Latvia's for that matter. It wasn't too bad, but way too many points for it.

But Albania didn't just have a mediocre song, but the execution was really bad as well and she was very well aware of that
Germany, Austria, UK and France got hardly any points at all while the quality of the songs from an artistic pov weren't bad at all. Those countries just aren't very good at making friends I guess
And not many nationals of those countries live abroad, which is different for Greece, Albania, Armenia etc
Re: Eurovision 2015 Thread
Idk, I think the Big Four (I say four because Italy's participation has been too inconsistent to judge) never really get too many votes since the semifinals were introduced. Part people being less familiar with the songs, part just being bitter that they automatically qualify? Idk.
But what you say is true, if they had a sizeable diaspora they'd get at least some points. I was really surprised we got none from Australia tbh.
